My Teaching Philosophy

I believe we are the water that nourishes the plants which are the students...

I strongly believe that students are like flowers.  They have to be watered with knowledge so that they can bloom into beautiful flowers.  The knowledge is not often provided at home therefore I believe that it is our job as teachers to make sure that our children are being properly nourished and fed with the knowledge they need.  In my opinion the most important part of a child's education is in the early years.  During this time is when they are being exposed little by little to everything education is.  The experiene that they have during this time is what is going to determine the importance that they give their education.

Children are like sponges....

They come into our classrooms like dried out sponges after a long summer vacation.  As the year goes by they become filled with all the knowledge that they need to get through the rest of their education.  Because everything that children hear they retain it is important that we make sure that they hear things in the classroom that going to benefit them in the future.  As educators we are responsible for what the students are hearing and learning in schools.  Even the most insignificant of things can make the biggest impact on our children.  As an educator I believe that it is extremely important that we filter what our children hear in the classroom so that we make sure that it is only positive and helpful knowledge.

A teacher that cares...

Teachers that care are the most important part of your child's education.  There are so many that think of it as a job with a good schedule.  To me it is far more than a paycheck.  It is a way for me to change the inperfect world that we live in one child at a time.  I believe myself to be  successful if I know that a the end of the day I have helped at least one child to read and write and love it!  Our children are our future, therefore, by caring about our students we are caring about the future of our families as well.
